Ruthie Kuhlman, a Massachusetts native, is studying in the Master of Architecture program here at the BAC. Ruthie, like many other BAC students, chose to start of her education here as an AOP student. She is a member of AIAS and was a tutor at the LRC (Learning Resource Center) her first semester in. Ruthie was also a participant in the Summer 2011 trip abroad to Spain.
Ruthie comes here with a background in Mechanical Engineering, a field which she studied at Rice University in Houston. After graduating with her bachelor's degree, she moved on to work for a energy company in Houston, managing the design of engineering systems for offshore oil fields for three years before deciding to come to the BAC.
Ruthie was a project manager through one of the Gateway Projects. She and her group recently presented their design (a multi-function social hub for a church in Dorchester, MA). Seeing the congregation members excitement and appreciation reinforced why Ruthie is seeking a degree in Architecture. She is employed at ADD Inc. working on projects in the construction phase.
