Steven Packard :: Bachelor of Architecture

Steven Packard is in his fifth year of the Bachelor of Architecture program at the BAC. He moved to Boston at the beginning of his degree at grew up in Merrimack, NH. He is a member of the Designers Lighting Forum - New England and a LEED (
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Associate. Interested in art at a young age, he loves graphite, ink drawing and graphic design.

Steven considers his technical background to have guided him to think practically, coupled with an artistic hand to develop creative concepts and solutions.  He believes that after a thorough programmatic and client analysis and in depth look at site context, his projects almost design themselves where he discovers solutions rather than designs them.

Studio Work

Steven’s experience is mostly in public work such as bridges, higher education and the US Coast Guard. He has worked on projects over 40,000 sq. ft. with cost ranges from $10 - $300 million. He currently works at STV Group, Inc. in Boston.

Steven was excited to be awarded the Designers Lighting Forum of New England Scholarship. He attributes this to learning how to bring projects to life by designing with light - light being a luxury few people realize the significance of. Steven is also a BAC Student Ambassador.
